Terrain difficulty: Moderate- several short sharp climbs
Ease of navigation: Moderate- navigating over open moorland can be difficult in poor weather conditions
Animal Dangers: Minimal- although hopefully you will see the lovely Exmoor Ponies!

Park in either of the two town centre car parks, avoiding the Burrows car parks which are further away. From the Town Centre head west to pick up the South West Coast Path, walking along the Seafront past the block of modern looking flats and then beach huts. Head in front of the holiday park and then out past the car park and toilets onto the coast path round Kipling Tors. Follow the coast path for 1.5 miles then turn left onto the first footpath that you meet.
Follow this uphill to a track. Turn right along the track then first left onto the lane. Head down the lane ignoring a turning on the right then turn sharp left. Follow this lane for 1 mile and after a sharp right turn left onto a footpath. Follow this as it descends and at a junction of paths take a footpath on the left, ignoring the path that continues down towards the holiday park. The footpath then comes out onto the road, follow this road back into town and head straight to the Hockings ice cream van for a well deserved treat.
