This walk is a rough figure of 8 that explores the woodland & fringes of the 3 reservoirs, Kennick, Tottiford & Trenchford, near to Chudleigh & Bovey Tracey.
The walk starts from the picnic area at the southern tip of Trenchford Reservoir. From the picnic area walk back out onto the road and turn left to follow the lane as it runs parallel to the waters edge. Take the first left and cross the bridge over Trenchford Reservoir. Ignore a footpath to the right and carry on until you see a footpath on the left.
Take this footpath which heads straight on into the woods then turns right, walk for 400m and turn right. Follow this footpath through the woods and across a bridge over Tottiford Reservoir. At a fork of footpaths take the left-hand fork and follow the footpath up to the road, negotiating 2 right hand turns on the way. Turn left and follow the lane along, ignoring 2 footpaths on the right. Take the footpath on the left which you will find just before the pier at Kennick Reservoir and head back into the woods. Follow the path for 500m then turn right down another footpath heading gently downhill. Follow this path as it rejoins a path you walked before and follow it back out onto the road.
Turn right and walk along the road as if you were heading back to the car park. Just before you go over the bridge at Trenchford Reservoir turn right into a footpath and follow this as it winds it's way around the reservoir and leads you back into the picnic area.
