Route

Leaving Sidmouth on the road to Otterton park in the car park at the top of Peak Hill on the right. Out of the car park cross the road and turn left to head back down the road a short way. Turn right at the first footpath you come to. head down to the cliff edge and turn right to follow the south west coast path.

Where the footpath follows a track look out for the turning on the left to continue on the footpath towards High Peak. As the path descends to the holiday park turn right to follow the footpath through the park past the reception centre. Continue on the lane out of the park adjacent to the camping area then turn left and follow this out onto the road into Otterton.

Turn left to head down this road then after a short distance turn right onto a footpath. This heads up to a land, follow the lane on to the road junction. At this junction turn right then left along a footpath that heads up a driveway between houses. Follow this round to the left and then through a gate in the field boundary on your left. Follow diagonally across this field to pick up a track that brings you out on the main road by the pub (don't forget to stop for some otter ale!).

Head out of the village ignoring a footpath on the right. Immediately after you have crossed the river turn right along the footpath. This footpath follows along the bank of the river. Stay on this path for 2 miles coming to a junction by a footbridge. Turn right to go over the footbridge and over to the road by Burnthouse Farm.

Turn left along the road and take the second right after about 1/2 mile, ignoring the first lane you see. Follow this lane up to Otterton Hill Plantation. As you come into the trees keep straight on to follow the path crossing 2 forest tracks. Come out onto the bridleway bordering the plantation. Turn right and follow the bridleway, as it turns right along the plantation boundary heading over to the sit of 'Seven Stones'. At this cross roads head straight over along a footpath then at the next junction turn right to follow the bridleway back to the road at Peak Hill, turn right to get back to the car park.
