RouteThis walk starts from the car park on Peak Hill on the right of the road to Otterton as you leave Sidmouth seafront.
To start the walk take the bridleway adjacent to the car park which runs along the edge of Greystone Hill Plantations. Follow this for 750m ignoring a cross roads of paths. Turn right onto a footpath that heads downhill through the plantation.Follow this footpath to a lane.
Turn left onto the lane and then right at a T-junction onto a smaller track (Moor Park Lane). Follow this track along to another lane and turn right then take the first right onto Higher Greenway Lane.
Take the first left onto a Bridleway track and then after 200m turn right onto a footpath. Follow this footpath as it leads around the bottom of the hill of Bulverton Plantation. After about 750m turn left to take a footpath up Bulverton Hill. There is a fork of paths here and either path is fine although the left-hand fork is an easier climb.
Follow these paths to the edge of the plantation and go straight on to pick up the Bridleway through Muttersmoor Plantation. The bridleway forks early on, take the right-hand fork to keep on the Bridleway as it follows the edge of Otterton Hill Plantation. Follow the path for 2km as it heads through the woods then opens out into the original part of Mutters Moor.
The path heads across to the field end by Otterton Hill Plantation. Follow the path, as it turns left and down towards the Seven Stones crossroads. Here turn right to stick with the bridleway and follow it out onto the road at Peak Hill. Turn left and walk the short sharp hill back up to the car park.
