Croyde Beach Walk

Route

Start from the National Trust car park at Baggy Point (Cost, £3 a day approx, free to NT members). Turn right out of the car park and follow the road past the tea shop. Veer left onto the path signed Baggy Point. Keep walking until just before you are going to fall off the cliff. From Baggy Point there are excellent views of Lundy and the Welsh Coast. take a deep breath and head up the short climb to the observation pole. Follow the coast path towards Putsborough for 1 mile passing over 3 stiles. Just after the 3rd stile turn right and take the path to Cherry Tree Farm. Follow the farm lane into Croyde, ignoring a footpath to the right. Once into Croyde head for the shops past the Seat garage and car park. Turn right just before Billy Budd's Pub and follow the signed path to the beach, emerging onto the beach through a gap in the sand dunes. Turn right and walk along the beach to the slipway. Head up the slipway past the toilets and turn left onto the lane that leads back to the National Trust Car Park.
