Devon is a great place to go walking. It's many varied landscapes offer a near endless oppourtunity to see something new. From lush rural farmland to wind-ravaged moorland there is plenty to explore.

From a 3 mile stroll to a 10 mile hike across the wilds of Dartmoor, there will be something for everyone. All rated by our unique 3 point system. The Charity Walks in Devon page has been updated with the details of some great walks in aid of North Devon Hospice taking place in September. Also added is an excellent charity challenge walk for the NSPCC in South Devon.

The National Trust held a successful Walking Festival this October. As part of this Killerton House near Exeter is held walking week. All week they offered guided walks, walks for children, wheelchair friendly routes, self-led trails and free entry to Killerton House, garden and parkland for walkers on Sunday 23 October. The more adventurous of you might enjoy exploring Exmoor & Dartmoor on a mountain biking holiday. If so head over to our friends at wildbike.co.uk to check out their cycling holidays.
